Dad’s attraction to the Grand Canyon was such that he ultimately dubbed this Great Natural Wonder as his "mistress." He was a walking repository of its lore and legends, as well as one of its most passionate suitors, who discovered fresh cause for its timeless allure upon each new visit.

“Canyon Snow” epitomizes his quest for contrast and serves as a visual testament to an attraction that forever left him awestruck and spiritually renewed.

This photograph appeared in one of his early books and a number of exhibitions, including salons in Tokyo and Milan.
