Dad discovered this little known arch during a wilderness excursion and named it in honor of my mother. At the time, it was a well-kept secret virtually exclusive to the Navajos.

As a commemoration of the friendship Dad had with the Navajos, they placed a bronze tablet near its base memorializing that relationship by officially naming it in honor of Mom.
